My post about Czech Post

pict0053
This is one of those things that might seem weird to someone who lives in English-speaking country: I often order stuff from Amazon.com. Sometimes it's stuff which is not exactly cheap. I often arrive home and see the Amazon package standing next to the door like this (today it was just two books). Anyone who enters our house (about 50 people live here) could simply pick up my package and do whatever he wishes with it. I wonder what would Czech Post do if someone really took the package. (Of course, this is a rhetorical question. Czech Post wouldn't do anything at all.)

P.S: The "flickr-frame" class has "margin-right: 15px" and yet, at least in Firefox, there is no space at all between the picture and the text on the right of it. Any CSS guru with suggestions?

Try padding-right: 15px instead of margin-right.

Fuxoft, you need a bigger mail box near your door. That would solve your problem with unregistered mail delivery and cover the stains on the wall :-)

The same thing happens here in the US with US Post as well as some other delivery comapnies if the package don't fit in your mailbox. (Well, fortunately sometimes USPS drops a delivery notice into our mailbox instead.) And if someone takes it, they wouldn't bother about it either.

The same thing happened to me. The bugger from Czech Post put the package I ordered in my mailbox, which clearly isn't designed for things of such proportions. Anyone could steal it without any effort, so I was lucky to be there first. However, another package was supposed to arrive 3 weeks ago and there's still no sign of it, so I'm guessing the DVDs I ordered have a new owner now. Best of luck to him...

Yeah, I must also concede that Prague is not the only place where things like this happen. I remember that when I visited aunt in Toronto, I ordered a gigabit switch to be delivered home... only to find it lying on the porch few days later. And three years ago, gigabit switches weren't as cheap as they are nowadays.

OTOH, here in Prague 4, I always get either ring at the door or a notice to pick it up. Every time the second one happens, I have to spend one hour+ standing in line at the post office... but I guess still better than stolen DVDs.

BTW: recently custom started adding 19% VAT to my DVDs from amazon - does that happen to others as well?

It seems to me that you have finally resolved this CSS 15px margin-right thing. At least in my Firefox it looks fine.
