Fast and Furious Translation Job

This is just too weird and wonderful to ignore.

The movie The Fast And The Furious was called Rychle a zběsile, which means "Quickly and Furiously" in Czech.

The recent sequel, whose original title is Fast and Furious, is being titled Rychlí a zběsilí. That actually means "The Fast And The Furious" in Czech.

(To be fair, the new title was selected by different people than the original title and they probably knew the original people screwed up).

By the way, from now on I'll post some translation tidbits on this blog, instead of adding them to this page about erroneous translations.

A není The Fast And The Furious Rychlý a zběsilý?

"The Fast And The Furious" doslova znamena "Rychly a zbesily" a nebo taky "Rychli a zbesili", ale vzhledem k tomu, o cem film je, bych sazel na druhou moznost.

Na druhou stranu, ten film je v podstatě duelem dvou hlavních postav, takže možná spíš jednotné číslo. Ne, že by na tom tak moc záleželo...;)

Case: tak ty mluvis o duelu a pak to popres jednotnym cislem... lol

Anonymous: OMB. Jeden je rychly. Druhy je zbesily. Celkem jsou dva. Souperi. Tedy duel. Nezalezi na tom, ale jednotne cislo je logicke prave proto o cem ten film je :) Evidentne je to vec nazoru.

O nazev tolik nejde, jde prece o toho skina v Trabantu!

Na druhou stranu "Rychle a zbesile" zni lip nez "Rychli a zbesili" (to prvni je konkretnejsi), takze to je celkem logicka volba pokud nekdo nepredpoklada, ze nekoho napadne tak netradicni pojmenovani sequelu.

Zajimavy to je, ale nerikal bych, ze nekdo neco zkazil.
